CE-2a and CE-2b internal transport equipment: functional validation.
The CE-2a and CE-2b internal transport equipment developed by NUSIM for ENRESA has completed functional testing at the El Cabril Facility. The tests verified container positioning and removal, restraint on the frame, and the opening and closing cycles of the cover.

The frame, platform and bellows-type cover form a single system for transporting and protecting the container.
Equipment systems
Guidance, restraint and container protection.
The frame integrates the systems that position and stabilise the container, together with a cover that protects it during the planned operations.
Guidance and self-centring.
The guiding surfaces accompany the container during lowering and promote self-centring without external aids. Once it reaches the support area, the centring devices engage with the lower locating points, allowing correct seating to be checked visually.
Frame restraint.
A perimeter frame prevents sliding in every direction. Anti-slip mats increase friction in the support area, while the frame includes lashing rings for additional tie-downs where the operation requires them.
Bellows-type cover.
The bellows-type cover moves along the side guides through hoops driven by a motorised carriage. It can be operated manually or with a removable battery-powered motor and wireless remote control; feelers and elastic guide elements control folding and prevent interference with the container.
NUSIM design and manufacture
A system designed for transport operations.
The design integrates guidance, restraint and cover in a single architecture. Loading and unloading operations have been designed to be remote, straightforward and compliant with the restraint requirements applicable to the project.
Cover system
Motorised actuation, when the operation requires it.
The bellows-type cover can be operated manually or by a self-contained battery-powered motor. In motorised mode, the cycle is controlled with a wireless remote control.
Folding control
Feelers and elastic elements guide the bellows and prevent interference with the container.
Standard platform
The frame can be removed and installed on a standard 20-foot platform.

Service and maintenanceThe support surfaces are designed to facilitate decontamination, withstand outdoor exposure and drain cleaning water and rainwater from the loading area.
Completion of testing
Final equipment verification.
Once testing was complete, a general inspection of the assembly was performed. NUSIM has thereby completed the functional testing phase planned for the CE-2a and CE-2b internal transport equipment developed for ENRESA.
