NUSIM has been present in the sector of stage machinery and singular works since 1995. Since then it has actively participated in many important national projects. The products covered by the Theater Division include Concert Chambers, Lower Machinery, Scenographies, and Maintenance service.
Concert Chambers designed, manufactured and supplied by NUSIM, S.A. include those for the Teatro Real (Madrid), Teatro Gran Liceo (Barcelona), Teatro Kursaal de San Sebastián, Teatro Auditorio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the Auditorio de Burgos.
Among the Scenographies carried out, it is worth mentioning the one for the Casa de Bernarda Alba (Focus), Mar y Cielo (Dagoll Dagom) or the zarzuela Viva Madrid (Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid).
As Lower Machinery, the Scene and Proscenium Platforms of the Teatro de la Maestranza, the Orchestra Platforms of the Port of the Teatro Arcimboldi in Milan and the Platforms of the Teatro Nacional de Cataluña stand out.
The maintenance department is currently performing these tasks on the platforms of the Teatro Nacional de Cataluña, as well as on those of the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville.
CONCERT CHAMBERS
Design, Manufacture, Assembly and Commissioning of concert chambers. NUSIM, S.A. covers the integral solution of the concert chamber, from its basic engineering, to adapt to the architectural easements for its storage and use, to the detailed engineering that the client approves for its later manufacture.
Concert chamber walls can be towered, hung or fixed walls. The tower solution can be with hinged or fixed leaves, manually or motorized movable, tongue and groove to minimize its volume when not in use, stackable against the back of the stage, with integrated galleries, with registers for lighting, etc. The hanging wall solution can be fixed, modular or demountable depending on the needs of storage and the maximum easement in terms of comb release. The ceilings of the concert chambers can be modular or removable, with integrated or external displacement system and can be stored in the stage box itself or on the proscenium.
The finish of the concert chamber is at the customer’s request, the most commonly used being MDF, plywood or composite panels. This finish can be flat or curved, which considerably improves the acoustics of the enclosure. The finish is usually in color or natural stained and varnished veneer, always at the customer’s request.
The innumerable combinations of characteristics make each concert chamber different from all the others, so NUSIM, S.A. will study each case to find the solution that best suits the customer’s needs.
In addition to the Concert Chambers shown, other concert chambers made by NUSIM, S.A. are those of the Victoria Eugenia Theater (San Sebastian), Villamarta Theater (Jerez de la Frontera), Euskalduna Theater (Bilbao), Tenerife Auditorium, La Rioja Auditorium and Cartagena Congress Palace.
SCENOGRAPHY
Design, Manufacture, Assembly and Commissioning of all types of special scenographies. This area of work includes scenographies with high added value due to their technical complexity. In this way they are treated as turnkey projects, in which the equipment is supplied, including training, assistance and technical advice during the performances, if necessary.
STAGE MACHINERY
Design, Manufacture, Assembly and Commissioning of stage platforms and configuration. Depending on the characteristics of the area where the platform will be installed, the first step is to define its final use, as well as the different design conditions, such as the useful path, the speed, the height of the pit to house the mechanisms, etc. NUSIM, S.A. has qualified personnel for the assembly of platforms with different types of drives: spindles (trapezoidal or recirculating ball screws), chains, hydraulic, scissors or Spiralift.
Platforms made by NUSIM, S.A. are, in addition to those shown, those of the Crypt of Cambrils, the Platform Lift of the Forum Building, the Orchestra Platform of Puerto de Santa Maria, the Hydraulic Platform of the Maria Guerrero Theater and the Orchestra Platform of the Villamarta Theater in Jerez.
MAINTENANCE SERVICE
NUSIM offers to all its customers the preventive and corrective maintenance of the supplied equipment, as well as the guarantee of supply of spare parts or alternatives that make their equipment last as long as the first day.
