Equipments for the solidification of liquid radioactive waste, through mixing, kneading and, using cement as binder
NUSIM has extensive experience in the development and manufacturing of both equipments and processing system, solidifying the liquid radioactive wastethrough mixing, kneading and, using cement as binder.
All processes and equipments have been developed according to needs raised by clients and always respecting the highest standards of the Regulatory Authority in terms of safety, reliability and security of the final matrix.
The solidification equipments developed by NUSIM meet the rigorous demands imposed by the Regulatory Authority to allow transportation of medium and low activity waste on public roads and for subsequent storage.
To ensure this, the equipments pass rigorous controls of design, calculation, and manufacturing. Before being accepted, quality controls are carried out on the solidified matrix obtained after processing. These tests affect mechanical strength, stability and lixiviation of the solid matrix.
NUSIM, has equipments in operation that cover a wide range of needs, they can be customized with a full range of options:
