Nusim, S.A. sends to Kozloduy (Bulgaria) Nuclear Power Plant the Slag Collection Chamber.
Nusim, S.A. has completed the manufacture of the “Slag Collection Chamber” equipment for the Plasma Melting Facility. The equipment is already stored in the facilities of the Nuclear Power Plant of Kozloduy pending its assembly and start-up throughout the year 2014.
This equipment is part of a pioneering plasma fusion facility that Iberdrola IngenierÃa y Construcción supplies to the Bulgarian Nuclear Power Plant.
Its functionality is to receive and cool, in ingots of 180 liters, the molten waste discharged by the plasma furnace. Overall, a volume reduction factor of between 22 and 81 is achieved depending on the type of waste treated.
